Right-click the NMM executable file and select Properties from the context menu. Step 4. Navigate to the Compatibility section and check the box of the Run this program as an administrator. Now, you can restart the client and see if the Nexus Mod Manager not opening issue still persists.
To fix the issue, you can try disabling these third-party antivirus software or add the NMM files as an exception to the antivirus software. MrMonkhouse posted PraetorXyn 7 years ago 7. Premium speeds are terrible too, at least now they are It seems as if I used to get faster speeds on premium at the time they had less servers. DarkLaguna 7 years ago 9. I like to do everything manually; keeps clutter down on parts of mods I'll never use, and I know where everything is if I want to change something I like to mod the mods sometimes to make them the way I like.
But I suppose the real issue isn't he mod manager itself, it's the crappy servers the mods are hosted on. I've found the servers to be slow at some times and "fast enough" at others. I don't use it enough to make it worth paying for so I just deal with the times that it's slow, or I try again some other time.

The script is in the end a roundabout way to bypass the redirect. The actual speed will depend on your connection and latency to the nexusmods servers among other factors. Sometimes preparing a download will take 5 seconds regardless. Still, you will skip the annoying redirects.
NOTE: If you are a premium user this script probably won't work for you. As you might have imagined, I'm not premium so I can't really check to know for sure.
